N Wildig & Sons

We are now in the second generation of mixed farming.

Newbrook Wildig as a boy delivered cut grass and hay to coal mines in Staffordshire to feed the pit ponies that pulled the coal trucks underground, during his farming life he and his wife Laurie had horses and livestock as their main occupation, having farmed in 7 counties progressively to remain at Thornbury Court Nr Bromyard, Herefordshire in 1958.

cartoon4In the years to follow the farm and business.has developed to 285 acres, with two sons David and Philip expanding the growth of mixed arable crops and production of good grass to make into top quality hay and haylage.

Livestock still plays a large part of Thornbury Court as we keep store cattle , approx 280 lambing ewes and even breed welsh ponies. This gives us hands on knowledge of our customers requirements when supplying feed.

We continue to pack hay into easily handled weight small bales 23-25 kg approx. customers are welcome to collect small or large orders or we do deliver both locally and nationwide.
